From June 25 to 27, 2025, key stakeholders from the energy sectors of both countries gathered in Accra to advance the 330 kV power interconnection project.
Three days of insightful discussions, strategic decisions, and concrete progress toward a more integrated regional power grid.
This flagship project, supported by ECOWAS and coordinated by WAPP, marks a decisive step toward the harmonization of electricity networks in West Africa.

From June 25 to 27, 2025, the city of Accra, Ghana will host the high-level meeting on the project to strengthen the 330 kV double-circuit Interconnection between Côte d'Ivoire and Ghana.
This meeting brings together:
1. The Director General of GRIDCo and CI-ENERGIES
2. The Directors General of Energy of the ministries
3. The WAPP General Secretariat
4. Ministers responsible for Energy of the two countries

The Secretary General of WAPP, Mr. Apollinaire Siengui KI, went to Ghana from 6 to 9 April, 2021 to participate in the meeting of the Joint ARREC/WAPP Technical Working Group (TWG) in charge of the elaboration of the various regulatory texts related to the ECOWAS Regional Electricity Market (REM).
