Le West African Power Pool (WAPP) a tenu, le samedi 24 janvier 2026 à Lomé (Togo), la 20ᵉ session de son Assemblée générale à l’Hôtel 2 février, en présence des sociétés membres et de hautes autorités du secteur de l’énergie. La cérémonie d’ouverture a été marquée par les allocutions du Directeur Général de la CEET, M. Débo-K’mba BARANDAO du Secrétaire Général de l’EEEOA M. Abdoulaye DIA, du Président du Conseil Exécutif, Ing. Sule Ahmed ABDULAZIZ ainsi que par le discours d’ouverture du ministre des Mines et des Ressources énergétiques de la République du Togo M.
As part of a strategic initiative aimed at promoting investment opportunities and regional development, the Secretary General of WAPP traveled to Lomé, Togo, on April 4th and 5th, 2024, to attend the ECOWAS Investment Forum 2024.
The First meeting of the thematic group on "Challenges related to the exploitation of Variable Renewable Energies was held from 01-03 February in Lomé, Togo.
The integration of large-scale variable renewable energies into the grid presents enormous challenges that require good preparation in order not to disrupt the proper functioning of the grid.
The 15th session of the WAPP General Assembly themed “building resilience against the effects of Covid-19 while and advancing the realization of the ECOWAS Regional Electricity Market” was held in Lomé, Togo from 7th to 11th December 2020.
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the WAPP organized the 2020 session in a ‘hybrid format’ allowing only the physical presence of members of the WAPP Executive Board while the Experts from the various member utilities participated remotely.
