The Water Resources Management Center (CGRE) is conducting a benchmarking mission within the WAPP

From April 11th to 12th, 2024, the Water Resources Management Center (CGRE) undertook a benchmarking mission at the WAPP Secretariat, as part of an initiative aimed at enriching its operational strategy.

A delegation of three members, headed by the Center's Director, Mr. KOUAKOU Alexis KOUASSI met with the various departments and services of the WAPP in order to develop actions aligned with the three strategic axes of the West African Water Resources Policy (PREAO).
These strategic axes include strengthening water governance, promoting investments in the water sector, and fostering regional cooperation and integration.

During the two-day mission, the delegation had the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the WAPP's organization, project design process, infrastructure financing, private sector involvement, promotion of regional cooperation and integration, as well as capacity building.
Prior to this visit, the CGRE had already met with several ECOWAS agencies and institutions, such as the PPDU, ARAA, and BIDC.
The delegation concluded with a visit to the Information and Coordination Centre.
