This Prequalification Notice is in response to the UNDP General Procurement Notice for the Project published online at AfDB 548-04-19 dated 17/04/2019 and on the Bank's portal (www. afdb.org).

The Government of Niger has received financing from the African Development Fund to cover the cost of the Niger-Benin-Burkina Faso regional electricity interconnection project, and intends to allocate part of the proceeds of this financing to payments related to the electricity market. construction of the 330 kV WAPP North Dorsal Power Line, approximately 104 km in Niger, between Gorou Banda and the Niger / Burkina Faso border.
The Project Management Unit (PMU) intends to prequalify contractors and / or companies for work consisting of a single lot with the following main characteristics:

1. 330 kV high-voltage overhead transmission line in double dull;
2. Freestanding metal lattice type pylons, double dull, having a vertical phase configuration with reinforced concrete foundations;
3. Two phase-bundled conductors with composite insulator strings;
4. Two guard cables including a GFCI (Optical Fiber Cable)

The invitations to tender are scheduled to be launched in December 2019.

Prequalification shall be conducted in accordance with the prequalification procedures specified in the Procurement Framework for Operations Funded by the African Development Bank Group, October 2015 edition, which is available on the Bank's website at address: http://www.afdb.org. . It is open to all bidders from countries that meet the criteria of source, as defined in the Bank's Procurement Framework. Candidates can submit their application file alone or in a group.

Eligible interested candidates may obtain further information and consult the prequalification file at the:

Interested candidates may obtain a complete set of the prequalification file in French by making a written request to the address indicated below together with proof of payment of a non-refundable amount of twenty thousand (20,000) Naira. Payment will be made by transfer to account # 2710002733 opened at Ecobank Nigeria - Abuja on behalf of West African Power Pool / North Core. The file will be removed from the Project Management Unit by the candidate. However, it may be sent by courier or any other means of transmission of his choice. In this case, the shipping costs will be borne by the candidate and the Project Management Unit can not be held responsible in case of non-receipt.
