Prequalification for the turnkey construction (EPC) of the 225/132/33 kV transformer substation at Ouaga-Sud-Est of Burkina Faso (WAPP Dorsale Nord - Lot 4-SS)

The Government of Burkina Faso has received funding from the French Development Agency (AFD) to cover the cost of the WAPP - North Core / North Dorsal Regional Electric Interconnection Project, and intends to allocate a portion of the funding to payments related to the contract for the construction of the 225/132/33 kV transformer substation at Ouaga-South-East of Burkina Faso, in a single lot (WAPP North Dorsal - Lot 4-SS).
The Project Management Unit (PMU) intends to prequalify contractors and / or companies for the turnkey construction work (EPC) below:

1. Construction in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso, of a 225/132/33 kV Ouaga-Sud-Est substation, with a double air-insulated 225 kV busbar (AIS);
2. The supply and installation of two 225/132 kV transformers of 40 MWA each and a 132/33 kV transformer of 25 MVA;

The invitations to tender are scheduled to be launched in November 2019.

Prequalification will be conducted through the procedures as specified in the World Bank’s Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers (July 2016 revised November 2017 and August 2018). (“Procurement Regulations”) and is open to all eligible Applicants as defined in the Procurement Regulations.
