Working visit to African Development Bank

Wednesday, April 6, 2016

As part of its meetings with Technical and Financial Partners, a delegation from the WAPP General Secretariat led by the Secretary General, Mr. Apollinaire Siengui KI, paid a working visit to the African Development Bank at its Headquarters in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire, on April 6 - 7, 2016. The delegation was warmly welcomed and had the opportunity to champion the 2016 – 2019 Business Plan.

ADB’s Vice-Chairperson in charge of Infrastructure, Private Sector and Regional Integration and his colleagues in charge of investments in the power sector, ensured to provide WAPP with their Institution’s support for projects preparation and implementation. They pointed out that WAPP’s action comes at a time when ADB’s new Chairperson has put energy at the heart of the Institution's priorities.
