Status:
Line was officially commissioned on February 13th, 2007.
The project was being implemented in 4 lots:
- Lot A1 : 330 kV Line within Nigeria
- Lot A2 : 330 kV Line within Bénin
- Lot B1 : Ikeja West Substation, Nigeria
- Lot B2 : Sakété Substation, Bénin
Activity:
- Lot A1: being implemented by SAE;
- Lot A2: being implemented by INEO;
- Lot B1: being implemented by AREVA;
- Lot B2: being implemented by CEPEL;

Status / Activity:
Recruitment of Contractors in progress.
Upstream works on 90 - 33 kV medium voltage network around Ouagadougou and rural electrification of 5 localities along the route of the line being financed by Nordic Fund, together with a consortium of Danish financiers and SONABEL are in progress.
Commissioning of the project is now expected in the fourth quarter of 2008.

Finalization of Contractor selection process and commence works

- WB loan for financing of VRA and CEB approved under APL-1 (tranche 2).
- AfDB loan for financing approved.
- BOAD loan for financing approved.
- IsDB and EBID loans being finalized
Detailed Design and Environmental studies are completed.
Commissioning of the project is expected in the fourth quarter of 2009.
